Hey guys, just picked up a 1997 GST Spyder yesterday, and I love it. It's got a problem that I was aware of before the sale, just thought I'd check here and see if you can point me in the right direction. It's got a pretty annoying idle surge. It idles pretty high when it's not surging, around 1500 Rpms, and when it does surge it bounces from 1500 to 900. It's usually after the car gets warmed up, and it surges worse when I'm in motion in neutral. It also had a pretty noticeable hiccup when I'm in boost. Thanks!

Do a boost leak test first to find all the leaks than if it still surges check the BISS screw than TPS

Okay thank you, also the more I drove it today the worse it got under boost. It went from pulling strong, to a hiccup, to jerking pretty hard. Could this all be related to the idle surge?

Probably a large boost leak. As stated please do a BLT and report back.
