My o2 sensor is shot and instead of getting a $80 new oem sensor, I want to go with a wideband since I will be doing a 16g upgrade soon. My question is if I already ordered a 3 pod gauge pillar with gauges (including a afr gauge) can I just get a wideband sensor? Or do I need to get the whole kit? Is there other parts in the kit I will need besides the actual sensor?
I love mine, I ran the narrowband simulation on it for a while and it works great. An AFR gauge that comes in a kit is more than likely going to be a narrowband, which is pretty much useless besides telling you your o2 sensor still works. If you do use the SAFC please make sure you have a good data logger to go with it, I've seen too many engine failures from bad SAFC adjustment
