So after being down since thanksgiving, my motor is getting here either today or tomorow. So my first question is what plugs and wires would you suggest for a slightly moded daily driver? I need to do a tune-up because I am not sure of the plugs, wires, etc in the new engine.

Also what other things do you think I should do after droping it in? Any pointers or heads ups about putting in the new one?

well as for wires. It really doesn't matter, stock is suffcient enough, or if you want to add some color go with accel's, If you want to do your coil pack as well, then go with the msd ingnition and wires.

As for plugs, NGK's usually do the trick, I forgot exactly which ones though, so could someone help me out.

bpr7es i think off the top of my head, might want to search and double check though, its one step colder than stock

i think its bpr not bkr?

no its BKR. if your are stock or lightly modded, go with the BKR6E-11. If you are going to go turbo or run nitrous, go with the BKR7E-11. i went to napa to order more of the 7's, and they still had 2 out of the box of 10 left over from when i ordered them 6 months ago since i only bought 8. i guess there not hot sellers. LOL

EDIT: i think the BPR are for the turbo models

yeah my bad, for some reason i didnt realize he was nt, i was just reading through the new posts and didnt realize he was nt.

sometimes if you say BKR7E they wont know what you are talking about
so ask for NGK part #6097
these are for BKR7E no -11
same thing just no preset gap so make sure and check it

what exactly would I be checking? And what do you guys know about taylor wires? I have heard that they are decent, but only from a few people.

are you sure that stock number isnt for teh 6's? because the stock number for the 7's is #1283. but thats a good point, i forgot to mention that. i always say "i need NGK BKR7E-11 plugs, stock number is 1283." good point :thumb: but ya the 7's are #1283
