OMG OMG The "wideband tracking technology" sounds cool! :thumb:

What cc injectors can it handle? I know there are issues with the original MAFT idling correctly with 660cc injectors which is why many members went with the MAFT/SAFC combo for 660 or higher injectors.

Anything you can do with an AFC you can do with this. The Gen 2 has more tuning than an AFC, in fact if you do not want upgrade the MAF sensor you can leave a stock DSM sensor installed or install a 2G sensor on a 1G can and tune from there like you would with an AFC. Most guys that had tuning problems were running the maf sensor blow through. Changing the pipes or even the angle of the pipe changes the tune up completely. This unit has the ability to fix any of those problems in a way that is easier to understand and use. With wideband tracking you can connect a wideband and then go into the unit and set a target air fuel ratio of say 11.5 to 1 at WOT (you pick the ratio). As you are going down the track the Gen 2 will monitor the A/F and adjust fuel up or down to keep the car at 11.5

I know with the MAFT I have if you want to tune based off of rpm points you have to set everything up and flip the #4 switch and then tune with the 4 rpm points. I assume since this is all electronic that you can program your information in and tune it, but then if you were to change injectors or something could you keep the tune and just change the main settings?

Yes, in addition to the RPM tuning there is a mainscale setting that will move the whole curve globally up or down

OMG, finally somebody has created a system which adjusts the air fuel ratio to what you want it to be. SO how does this plug in again? Do you plug it in into the obd port on a 1g or 2g? Do you need a keydriver chip? Please explain more as to how this lugs in, also how would you hook up a afr gauge or system to it?

The unit connects inside the car very much like an AFC

You connect the output of your wideband to the Gen2, 1 or 2 wires (this is optional, you do not need a wideband if you do not care about wideband tracking) Most any wideband will work you do not need a gauge since air/fuel will read out on the LCD display on the from of the Gen2. We recommend the Innovate LC1 is is priced right and very accurate

You use a MAF sensor adaptor plug under the hood if you want to upgrade the MAF sensor to one of the GM units (also Optional) or our new 4" MAF Sensor which will be out this summer. The stock MAF sensor will work with this unit if you prefer that

If you want timing control you will need a chip from Keydiver, this will control WOT timing from the control pad on the Gen2

So am I getting this straight? It plugs in just like the older MAFT's? I have mine routed into the glove box and this would be really easy to just unplug the old and plug in the new.

Timing controll to !!! If that be the case then why is this any diffrent than the PRO. By the way I want one like yesterday so take that dam can't buy with credit card thing off and sell me one already LOL.

By the way if you don't need a wideband gauge do you know any just wideband sensors with a plug that will go right into the maft gen2 that way I don't have to spend the whole 300 on one?

The way I read it, it hooks up to a wideband controller, not the sensor alone.

You guys should put together a kit with this new MAFT, a GM Mass Air, and a wideband O2... it seems to me that it would sell very well. Just an idea I thought I'd share.

hell yeah that would be nice. The thing I'm curious about is if you can pick the a/f ratio then really you should be able to controll any size injector but I know there is a catch.

wow, too bad Im just going to get dsmlink or maybe even aem ems instead of something like this, otherwise it would be cool to have this. couldn't you have made this like a year ago so when I bought my gm maf I could have got this too.

Well, my guess would be that it would still idle poorly with huge injectors but I don't know...That would definately be sweet though.

That looks like an amazing product. I wish Dsmlink had a wideband tracking feature like that. Amlost makes me want to buy one, Zero out my fuel sliders and tune fuel with this.

This is a splice in unit. It installs like an AFC would

You need a controler but not a gauge. The Innovate LC-1 works great and is under $200

The AEM will work fine

Are you guys giving any sort of discount if you buy the Translator with a wideband? Any chance I can trade my old Translator in and get some sort of discount on the new one? Just asking...:thumb:

None of the features will conflict with dsmlink logging/tuning will it?
I see no problems.
