Hey everyone, just picked up a 98 Eclipse GSX that needs alittle work. This is my first boosted car and can not wait to get it on the street! I just hope the boost addiction is not as bad as everyone make it out to be! I feel like I'm trying Heroin for the first time! :D

The kid I got it from had a bit of work done, FMIC, Wally 190, Injectors, a EBay 20g, and catback. He had a SAFC in it when I first looked at it, but kept it and I just found out its on stock injectors now. Now the problem I have not drove it yet, had a few minor things to fix before hand, I know the stock injectors and fuel trim is not adequate for a 20g under full boost. I dropped all my cash on the car, so I wont have the extra for new injectors and tuning for a few weeks. Can I safely run at say 10 psi until I get the fuel sorted out?
 
Naaw everything was suppose to stay, which needless to say pissed me off, It would not have been a problem if I could have planned for buying a tuner and injector, but it is what it is. What kind of issues would arise from the afc being pulled?

Thanks gsxtc21 I love it, been one of my favorite cars for a long time! I will get pictures up as soon as I get it out of the garage, which may be a week or two, but I will get them up. Its got a salvage title, previous front end damage. all cosmetic no frame damage! So I got what I thought was a good deal for $2500.

well if he had a map for that setup the fuel/air ratio will no longer be correct
 
I figured the air/fuel ratios would be off, with stock injectors back in and him pulling the afc. That's why I am concerned about running at 10psi, with the afc being pulled the map would just go back to the default Mitsubishi map, correct?
