new engine problems maybe turbo

hey guys k throw me your 2 cents and tell me what u think. I put a 6bolt swap in my 2g with the 14 turbo also and it runs like crap only full boost at 10 psi 5 at about 4 rpms then in 5th gear it bogs out! i check for leaks took off all the piping and put it all back on tight still dont knwo whats up with it any ideas. It was fine at first well it was spiking fixed that but now it wont get up to 15psi turbo i think is fine a bit of shaft play nothing big any ideas let me know thanks

some leaks you will not see. make a leak tester, i made one a week ago and it saved me and my brother a crap ton of headaches, there is a article on vfaq on how to do it.

just finished the boost leak test(easyer than i thot) i found one and fixed it it help but it still runs like car only boostes 10 in first 5 in 2nd and at like 5 rpms it booges out? whats the problem here what could it be anyone?? bad turbo maybe??

i would look for problems on the exhaust side of the turbo now. if you have a leak in your exhaust before the turbo that could be the problem.

maybe you have a f-ed up compressor or turbine wheel. check the turbo for shaft play. and check the compressor wheel because if there is damage on the turbine i would think it would have some on the compressor too because that throws the balance off.

you say it builds less boost in higher gears?

yeah like in 1st will go to 7 rpm with maybe 10 psi in 2nd it really slow gives 5 psi till about 65 or 6 rmps then kinda like bogs down i look at my boost gauge and the vac drops to like 20 what do u think it could be?
