new turbo 16g maybe?

hey guys im looking to upgrade my turbo i have the 14b right now but i think its dead cause i can never get it to boost over 5 10psi and it boogs out sometimes, does this sound like the turbo? anyways i want to know the diffrence between the big and small 16g hp flow any info will help thanks again

very broad statement. It could be numerous things causing that but my guess is a boost leak, check that first off. Might as well check your turbo for shaft play as well while your intake is off (there is a turbine in the turbo, check to make sure it spins freely and does not have a lot of up and down movement). Again, my guess is boost leak

I'd just grab a super big 16g and be done with it.

If you go with a 16g go with the Evo 3 16g, it's heads and shoulders above any other 16g variant.

well i found one for 300$ no sure what kinda it jsut says 16g its also ported and has less than 2k miles on it i think im gonna go for it and get it. I tryed boost leak test and only one came up and i fixed it and still the same thing i noticed when im under boost after a while the car booges out then i will shift and next gear is boog instead of boost i hear a little grinding when im going to slow down i think it my be the compresser will how would i check to see if that was messed up?

like I said earlier, take the intake off of the turbo and grab the turbine inside. See if it spins freely and wiggle it up and down and see if it makes contact with the compressor housing.
