New DSM owner here!

Hey guys. After searching for a long time I finally got my hands on a 1g dsm eclipse awd. The guy i got it from had done a few things to it. Its runnin 550 injectors, big16g turbo, de jon intake and 2g maf. Been reading for weeks about this car and to be honest Im really not sure what its capable of yet. So I have a few questions...

1) How much farther can i turn up the boost safely?

2)Any ideas on what should be some of my next upgrades?

3)What kind of power can the stock internals on this car take?

Ide appreciate any additional info i can get. Thanks guys!

Well the first upgrade I'd do is a 255 fuel pump so you can turn up the boost a bit. Already got injectors so your good there. Pretty sure I've heard that the limit of a stock short block 4g63 is 500hp. Im still fairly new to the dsm scene as well. Just got my first one a few months ago. Mine is a 1g talon tsi 100% stock

What he said ^^^ That's the #1 mistake new DSM owners make. These cars make a lot of power pretty easy and its enticing to just jump in without making sure its ready mechanically. DSM 4G63 Maintenance Guide - DSMtuners

Timing is the most critical first step. Belts, bearings, tensioner water pump and possibly even BSE.

Is there an SAFC or anything to tune with? If not, then I assume the 2G MAF is to compensate for the 550 inj. Its a pretty close fix. You will hit fuel cut later with the 2G MAS than with the stock MAS when you turn the boost up.

I would say your next upgrades should be boost gauge, datalogger, fuel pump & tuning device.

Yes get that case of beer first! haha nice. Anyways, do all of the maintenance, new timing belt job, then I would look into a tuning device.

1) How much farther can i turn up the boost safely? without a tuning device i would not go over 15 psi

3)What kind of power can the stock internals on this car take? Over 400whp! on a healty engine (this is controversial quiestion, some say more some say less)

i would just start with maintenance i have been doing it to my car for over a year. Timing belt, bearings, tensioner, drivetrain fluids, tires, hoses, etc.. if you think you are ready i would suggest that your next upgrade is something to tune with, and some gauges like stated above.
