I've not seen much info on these, I think they're a fairly new offering for us. My searches here yielded no results, so I'm throwing this out there in hopes that someone can tell me more about them.

The part that originally caught my eye was the initials used for the brand, but it appears not to be the person behind the scenes that I first thought it was.

DGR 2G Track kit coilovers
DGR for 2G said:
* 30 Way Adjustable Shock absorber
* Full Threaded Body
* Shock Height Adjustment
* Spring Perch Adjustment
* 13K Front Spring
* 6K Rear Spring
* LIFETIME WARRANTY

DGR 1G FWD
DGR 1G AWD
For some reason, the prepackaged 1G FWD and AWD coilovers seem to both use 7K springs front and rear.

Anyone know how these compare to FNR's Koni setup?
Obviously since I have a 2G that's where my main interest with this lies.

The 2G $1300 price point seems comparable to other off-the-shelf kits, but they claim to have a lifetime warranty, use pillowball upper mounts and at least one vendor site does advertise custom spring rates on an individual order basis:

Customizable spring rates at no additional charge. For custom spring rates, please expect a 2 week delay with your order, so it can be built to your spec.

The intials caught my eye too. The specs do seem to be too good to be true..

2 Things... One is they look just like K-Sports. Two wtf would adjustable camber strut tops due for us except possibly bind up the swaybar endlinks?

728/336 spring rates are a good start - much better than other manufacturers.

The camber adjustment plates would be for the 1g models.

I was looking at the shock dyno plots I have from a group of Konis I sent to get dynoed and the plot they show looks too perfect to me. Granted, I don't really know how to read and analyze these things, but the lines just look too damn close together.

Those are for 1g's or other mac-style cars. They are not included in the 2g setup.

That plot does look overly promising..

Hey guys, found my way here via Google searching. Figured I'd chime in on a few things:

1) Look like K-Sport. Yeah, I like orange. Luckily that's all we share. I generally do white springs so its orange black and white. If I would've done red, they would look like Megan...gold is BC, etc. All colors are taken except pink - while a cool color, I think I'd only sell Subaru kits if I did that.

2) The dyno plots: those are the real deal. I shipped a batch to Koni NA in KY back in Feb. I have all the original paperwork if it satisfies the doubters.

3) kits are fully customizable. I do custom rates and valving all the time for various customer needs.

I am very very active in motorsports. My kits are used in rally, drift, track and street. None are the same kits.

I do have "off the shelf" kits which satisfy 95% of people, but I've also done R&D right in the public eye to give customers just what they want.

Also...I don't think I'm the same DR/ DGR you are thinking. ;-)

Mods: I am trying to keep this as non-sales sounding as possible. Just want to make sure the right info is out there. I'm not opposed to becoming a vendor and doing a GB if the interest is there.

Please, let me know if you have questions. I have nothing to hide and honesty is a good policy.

DG is Dennis Grant, and he came up with this (as well as being one of my personal heroes):
Autocross.dsm.org - Build Your Own Konis

What springs do you use? I actually wish they were orange as my car is Paprika..
The fact that you'll do custom valving for someone speaks volumes, do you dyno each set of shocks you send out, or just once in a while?

Lifetime warranty!

^ A lot of people notice that and like that. I hope that does give a confidence of the quality - Imagine how much money I would loose if I replaced shocks over and over. One other thing to note on this: How the warranty works is, you call me and say "Russ, I blew my left front shock." I simply say ok your shock number is 38923859038590, I'll get a new one on its way today." I box up a shock and ship it USPS priority so you get it in 2days. I then provide a return label so all you have to do is swap it and get the old one back to me. (I keep a database of EVERY single kit sold, so if you have a second hand kit, I know exactly who bought it and when and everything about the kit you have).

I addressed this one before...and as said by others, 1G with the McPhearson gets the adjustment, dual A-Arm cars get a pillowball with spherical bearing if you opt for it. On a street/ daily driver I would recommend the rubber bushing instead for comfort aspects.

These are the off the shelf 99%er shocks. Most notable adjustment points are 5/15/20/30. Most people hang around 15/20 range on the street kit. 0/5 is good for anyone in the NE/ Mid-A region.

Ah, I see...I thought it was synonymous with someone less favorable. ;-) Springs are made in house, but I have considered having Swift springs as an option, not sure yet. Mine work great. As far as color...nothing a sandblaster and a powder coater cant solve! These are powder coated white. If you're willing to shell out the dough, I'll do Orange with plaid polka dots if you so desire.

Dynos are done periodically to ensure quality. Shock dynos are expensive so it's hard to do every last one.

DGR, where are the shocks themselves being manufactured? By whom?

The kits are assembled in Taiwan. Now, don't start thinking Oh, Taiwan...mass produced re-labeled, yada yada. Not the case at all...DGR is ONLY DGR. We don't do re-badging. Lots of pride in these kits.

Thanks for the info Russell, exactly what I was hoping to hear!

Welcome to dsmtuners -glad to have you on board, send a Private Message to Chris (username: Ludachris) if you'd like to become a supporting vendor.

I'd be interested in a group buy whenever you get set up.

Any plans for double- or triple-adjustable units ? I checked the Sport/track and Circuit pages, but nothing listed under Mitsubishi.

Thanks,
Charles

Yes!! I will have the double adjustable C-Spec with external reservoir ready next month. I already have dozens upon dozens of pre-orders...people we're so impressed with my singles that they don't even question the quality of the new stuff. I may be behind the other guys out there in my price/ market, but I like to do it the right way. Knock out any issues up front.
