new cv axles to small.

Just like in the tittle. i went to auto zone to get new CV axles for my FWD turbo eagle talon. An what do you know they are too small. the ones i pulled out of mine are around 1 1/8'' the new ones measured about 1 1/16'' that's the end measurement where it goes into the transmission. why are mine bigger?

92 and up came with bigger diameter axles for FWDs. They gave you a set for 90-91.
