Ok I finally got my car back last night from gettin the new clutch put it, and now I have a couple of questions for you guys. First, when i started it up last night and drove it for a min i noticed a rubbing/chattering noise. It never made this noise before so im assuming its the clutch, but i dont know. So what do you think it could be? Also, the clutch pedal now is weak......in other words I have to push it all the way to the floor to get it to engage/disengage when use to I could just push it half way. So my other question is if there is a way to make the clutch pedal tighter so i dont have to push down all the way.

btw some useful info: My clutch is the Centerforce dual friction.

thanx in advance

Im not positive about the chattering, but the adjustments are easy to fix. There is just an adjustment screw under the dash area that will change the engagement point of the clutch. You had your flywheel resurfaced right? That may lead to both your problems.

And I hope they resurfesed to .610 step hight on the flywheel otherwise you will distroy your clutch, with disengagement.

for the engage/disengage problem you would have to adjust your clutch pedal.. go to vfaq.com than to drivetrain and to adjustments..now on the site there is only adjustments for a 1g put looking at the pedal and how it is done you should be able to figure out how to adjust the pedal and for the clattering noise..i cant really tell what it is but i would do the clutch pedal adjustment first and than go from there.

i didnt have to resurface the flywheel, the centerforce dual friction came with the clutch and new flywheel all together in 1 piece. so its all brand new. i was just thinkin maybe its making that noise becuase its new and hasnt had time to wear in yet (only 24 miles on it as of right now). Thanx for the site for the pedal adjustment. ill look into that.

thanx again guys
