what's up guys... i got a situation here.
about a week ago while going to school i clipped an elevated manhole (i was half asleep at 7 in the morning) and it just ripped my tranny right off the block. so i got te tranny casing fixed,it needed the bellhousing, but the rear bolt ear that holds the tranny onto the block is completely missing. now from where i got the tranny rebuilt(DOGBOXracing.com) told me i cant beat the shit out of it like launch, rev high, shift hard which is taking my privileges with an AWD away from me but then my regular mechanic said with the front ear and the other 4 or 5 bolts its held up pretty good. so what dogbox suggests is getting a new block. money is kind of low right now and i was wondering does anyone have any opinion or advice. i know Better Safe Then Sorry but does anyone have experience with this problem. DOGBOx said they've seen many blocks without the rear ear hold up trannies with no problem for a long period of time, but does any have or had encountered a problem like this? any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
