new alt.new batt still no charge?

Ive been having this problem for a few months now,my battery kept dying on me so i put in a new one that diddent help so i put in a new altenator still no charge.took it to a shop they told my the alt. was bad so i pulled it and took it back to kragen where they bench tested it and it passed twice.put it back in same deal, when i warm it up in the morning my logger reads14.3volts but after 2 minutes it drops to 12.anyone have any ideas?
 
when ## Alt. gets hot ## doides are going out. get another OEM alt. and it should go away.
 
you should take it to the garage and have it looked at if this is your 2nd one in 2 months. That tells me you got more then a bad alt. going on there. Good luck :)
 
Check your connectors for rust and check for power overdraws from the battery, amps and speakers etc. Also my car had the same problem when it would sit for a while due to a cheap battery. So I installed a optima red top and i no longer have this problem.
 
cheack your fuse mine was poped and i had the same problem also if your geting your alt from like autozone i had to get 3 of them for my 1st talon b4 i found one that worked i think i read about a guy that had to take his back 5 times on here or talk around the same time i had my problem but this was a few years back
 
Also, you should check all of your connections. Check for corossion, loose bolts/screws/nuts, etc. Sometimes it can be due to a weak current.
 
thanks for the feedback,but its not the fuse or conections those are the first places i looked.im going to try a mitsu altenator this weakend.Im wondering if the problem is too much heat from the o2 housing after the tube header install.it pushed the turbo three inches forword which put the o2 closer to the alt:confused:
 
I'm having the same issue. NEW batt/alternator, and my idle voltage is 11.9 instead of the usual 14.8 soooo wtfff. I've done draw tests on both ground and positive of my battery-alternator and there's barely any resistance. That tells me there's no connection issues. But it's seeming like my alternator isn't doing anything. And when my car died on my on the freeway it was an instant thing, not slowly going down. This is horrible someone please help me!
 
Take it to a shop that specializes in electrical problems. I had the same problem like yours, turned out to be a grounding problem.
