Hamilton,
I just finished swapping my 4g63T and the auto transmission has just went out or something? the trans wont engage into any gear. i am thinking that it could be the torque convertor because i launched it a couple times before it went out.
WHAT DO YOU THINK COULD BE WRONG WITH THE TRANS?

So i was thinking instead of just tryin to fix the auto i would do a 5 speed swap. a 97 GST.
im just having trouble finding parts for the swap.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY PARTS THAT THEY COULD SELL ME OR SOMETHING IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Did you swap in another 7 bolt? I take it from the swap you put in a 6 bolt. There's an
adapter for using a 2G auto trans bolting it to the 6 Bolt block. Hear any noises on startup?
Not very many clues in your post to go by ?

sorry man i swapped in another freshly rebuilt 7 bolt that i had. on start up everything is normal when i got to shift it into R or D u hear a click clickclick noice from the top of the trans.

Just do the swap if you have about $1,000 and an extra car to drive for atleast 2 weeks.

It took me a little over a month to get all the parts together, and 2.5 weeks(working on free days in the freezing cold in the driveway with just hand tools, so about 3-4 days worth of work if its your first time.)

if ## sayin that i should just do the swap and forget about the auto trans than ok i could do this LOL
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY PARTS FOR A 5 SPEED SWAP than. im been searching forever its hard to find
