Hey guys I am needing a new clutch again.. Previously I had a Fidanza 2.1 in the car for about 20,000 miles. Clutch had a lot of life in it but a spring popped out causing engagement issues. I moved up to a Fidanza 4.3, have about 12-15,000 miles on it now, same issue I am pretty sure. I haven't pulled the clutch out yet but I am fairly certain that's the problem again. Symptoms seem the same. I'm starting to wonder if I am adjusting the master improperly but I followed the Jacks Trans videos and did exactly as he said. I never had any issues shifting or with clutch engagement. Pedal always felt heavy and was perfect IMO.

Basically now I am looking for a good clutch that's going to last. I'm thinking unsprung this time or possibly even a twin disc if I could find a good deal. My car is FWD. I am looking to put down over 500hp, and plan on dyno tuning it very soon once I get a new clutch and few other components in the car. I do drive my car a lot, probably almost 20,000 miles a year. I DD it every day back and forth to work except when it's freezing out. Clutch chatter doesn't really bother me much, I have an unsprung XTD in my AWD and it's very loud but it doesn't really bother me at all. What are your suggestions? I really liked the feel of the Fidanza pressure plates, and maybe that combined with a Southbend disc would last me quite some time? I'm really not sure so I am seeking for your advice on what to do.

I would recommend the unsprung disk.

I have an ACT unsprung 6 puck in my 2g. Its a little tricky driving slow in parking lots but havn't had any problems with it :thumb:

South Bend SS-Series pressure plate with TZ/B kevlar/ceramic dual friction disk combo. It will keep a soft pedal feel, handle your power, and is completely streetable and more forgiving on your transmission for shockloading and harmonics.

Is this ok for AWD also? Not too familiar with clutch setups at this point excpet with what everyone else goes with. I have a DD.
