Need Tranny Swap Input 94 in a 90 F5M22

I've done a search and have come to the conclusion that both the 1.8 and 2.0 NT use an identical transmission 90-94 F5M22, however My car is a 90 and the donar is from a 94. the only differences that i can account for are the 90's using a different shifter assembly, shifter cables, and shifter points on the tranny itself. The guy is offering a F5M22 tranny from a 94 with shifter cables and shifter assembly from a 92. This is all a direct bolt in correct? The 92 style shifter assembly and shifter cables will work perfect for the 94 tranny correct?

when i put a 93 awd tranny into my gf's 90 awd we used every 93 part i believe. the tranny, cables, and the shifter itself.

Yes, all of it bolts right in.

On my car I am using a 1992 trans and the car is a 90, and I broke 2 shift forks until I got all of the 92 stuff in(cables, shifter, Shifter Cable Bracket(important) and now it works fine with no breaking...oh and evo shift forks

It looks like I will wait on the 91-94 stuff then, because the last thing I need is broken shift forks.

OK I got the tranny, shifter assembly, and the shifter cables. Hopefuly I'll have it all in tomorrow

Its all in, I finally have a transmission that works great. If ya didn't know this was the 4th transmission that this car has received. (2 Auto's and 2 Manual's) I have absolutely no grinding, and everything on the install went flawless. Only things I notice that are a little odd are

1-2 gear at the shifter assembly iteself feel kinda rubber to get into.
Theres a small delay getting into 2nd.
The tranny doesnt grind whatsoever

I am also putting a 23 spline (91) into a 22 spline (90). I was wondering if I could just get the linkages, shifter, brackets, cables from a 1.8L or 2.0 n/t or if it had to be from a turbo?

I,m not sure, however DSMotorSport sells awd and fwd shifter cables, so im guessing non turbo cables wont work for you, since your awd and they arent

I found the fix for the rubberyness in 1st and 2nd, Im using the 90 style flat angled bracket on th shifter cable holder instead of the square flat plate. hopefully i can get that bracket soon, I dont wanna break anything.
