ok so i have a 1g with a 14b turbo on it. Three Inch Thermal R&D with a ported o2 housing

When i WOT (i believe that is the correct term for flooring the car) boost will go all the way up to 21 psi when i hit fuel cut. and when i say fuel cut i mean indeed it feels like ive hit a brick wall and a gun shot house come out of the back of my car.

now i have not ported my turbine housing or wastegate yet

but will will the boost controller even do anything?

The reason i post this is because the search function is just too broad. If you know of an article already talking about this please point me to it.

but if thats not the case, i would like some input on what you all think.

thx :laser:

Port near the wastegate flapper so it can open a full 90 degrees or put in a larger flapper.

i had this issue on my E316G. i even had the upgraded flapper and it just wont hold my desired boost level. i tried alot of things and just got too frustrated so i went to a external wastegate setup. now im holding 9psi solid to redline at low boost settings!
so if you have that extra dollar to spend, get a external. but im not really sure it would be worth spending that much if not any money on the 14b.
usually a free flowing exhaust is the victim of boost creep.
but anyways,:thumb:GL!

Work around it.

Get a logger, a bigger fuel pump, injectors, and a way to tune it and let it creep. Big Deal.

I think the most fun part of my last setup was the fact that I only had a 20psi gauge and I had the boost set at 15psi. Well, it would start to creep at about 4500rpm+ and peg my gauge. Everyone would ask me how much boost I was running and I would just shrug my shoulders.

Or you could just port out your turbine housing inlet and make it easier for the exhaust gases to flow into the wastegate passage.
