Is it normal to leak out the breather hose from the valve cover? Once i plug it on a leak test than oil leaks out of my oil cap. Also, was wondering if you pull out the dipstick than a bunch of a air shoots out... Should it be there or is it a leak. I searched but could not find any solid answers so.

One other problem my 1g bov kept leaking out the dump tube so i tried crushing it slightly and it still leaks but now.. i guess im getting compressor surge because when i shift it flutters. So, guess i over crushed it?

The engine being cold does make sense. I always do mine cold though, for a couple of reasons. First being not to burn my hands messing around down by the turbo, and the second to find any small leaks that my reveal themselves when the couplings are cold. My car has aftermarket pistons, which may have more room for thermal expansion, I'm not sure.

IMO.. the intake pressure test is only to test for leaks pre-head. With the engine running any air that makes it that far would be injested into the engine anyway.

I recently upgraded my IC piping, couplers and clamps.. and when I went to pressure test they all leaked (one almost flew off and hit me OMG ). So I cranked them down and alls good.

Yea.. the my stock BOV may leak a little at 20psi.. and the MBC bleed (which is designed to leak). But in the grand scheme.. 99% of the boosted air is geting to the combustion chambers.

Compression / Leakdown tests are for testing the Headgasket, valves and rings :talon:
