Hi all. Yeah yeah yeah noob here. :hellyeah: Name says it all. Anyways I need help making sure these rims can fit. I did lots of research and did all the calculator softwares but my brain has too many holes burned in it to begin to understand and wrap my head around the numbers.

So I've got a 2ga 420a rs w/ stock suspension

I'm looking at:

XXR 522's 17x8 +48 or 18x8.5 +48

XXR 527's 17x8.25 +25/35 or 18x8.75 +20/35

XXR 530's 17x8.25 +25/35 or 18x7.5 +35

:hmm:

Which work which don't? Tire size recommendations? Again, all stock suspension.

Thank you.

XXR 522's 17x8 +48 or 18x8.5 +48
Won't fit without spacers as they'll contact the knuckle.

XXR 527's 17x8.25 +25/35 or 18x8.75 +20/35
Will be close. The +35 will be better as it won't stick out as far, but might contact the knuckle in the rear, especially the wider set, and might also require a slight rolling of your rear fenders. Fitment will also depend on tires.

If you went with the +20 or +25, then you should have no issue clearing the rear knuckle, but then would have them stick out and have to roll your fenders.

Also, are you sure about those widths? I've never seen a .25 or .75 width. Link to the actual wheels?

These should work no problem, again with +35 not sticking out as far as the +25.

See answers above.

Whatever you do, please get tires that are meant for the size wheel you buy. So if you get a 8" wide wheel, get a 235 or 245 tire, not a 205. Unless you're into that thing considering this is in the appearance forum.

Ya, that sure is weird. Never seen that width before.

Neither have I, I was pretty skeptical at first.
Anyways so I don't know much about this and that but would you recommend the 17x8.25? It'll have enough clearence? Stock suspension.

It will be very close based on the math.

For reference, I'm running Evo 8 wheels which are 17x8 +38. The section width of my tire is 9.8" and I have 4mm of clearance to the rear knuckle and need to roll the one rear fender a bit. With you being on stock suspension, you shouldn't need to roll anything.

Your wheels will add 3mm of clearance because of the lower offset, but subtract 6mm because of being .25" wider. Distribute those numbers evenly and you'll have only a few mm (2-3mm) of clearance to the rear knuckle. You can go with a tire that has a smaller section width and that should add some more clearance.

Ohhh okay. I understand. Thank you for all your help! Also could you recommend a good tire size for the 17x8.25 rims?

Okay great! Thank you for all your help, snowboarder714. It was greatly appreciated. Answers I was looking for for the past week you've answered for me in a day. Thanks again!

So I decided with 17x7.5 45mm offset with 225/45/17. Will this fit? Again: 96 n/t stock suspension. Or can I got wider?
