so i'm about done trying to care about my car right now. i finally got the engine all rebuilt, got it put in, got all wires, vac lines, coolant and everything else hooked up. she cranks and sounds like she wants to start, but won't do it. fuel and spark is great, compression better be good since it was all rebuilt, my only concern is the timing, but have been told by a few different people that it's good. i'm loosing my mind stressing over this crap. do any of you out there have any suggestions to look at?? :banghead::idontknow:

Your profile says that you have a 1g cas, was this wired in correctly or using the harness adapter?

My CAS is wired in with the adapter harness. I didn't buy this harness, but rather built it since I had a schematic of it and all the proper wires and plugs for the build.

Your sure you hear the pump on and that there is spark? Easy was to do it yourself is to pull off the cas and spin it by hand with a grounded spark plug.

Check to see if your injectors are pulsing. Spark plugs in the correct order? Using stock injectors? Using any tuner? I didn't see any of those listed either.

All is good, got my car started finally. Plugs weren't fouled, temp sensor and all other sensors/ relays were connected properly, & CAS was in right position. What I forgot about was swapping the plug wires to bring them back into phase due to 6-bolt swap. Got to my garage and remembered I had the diagram in one of my older threads. So I got them swapped, and she took a few revolutions to start spinning faster, but still pulled through and started like a champ. Got a few more little things to work out, like I gotta pull the throttle body back off and reassemble it. The main spring needs 1 or 2 more turns so she idles at the proper RPM instead of 2k-2500. But it's all down hill from here. Thanks to you all for your input. :dsm:
