The engine is turning over and cranking but I’m not getting spark. I even put jumper wires on the battery to give it some extra power.

I am particularly interested and upset about this problem because I had spark a month ago and I was working on the fuel tank and put everything back in and fixed everything with a whole new tank, pump, sending unit, etc. but I come back to the car today after hooking everything up and filling it with gas expecting it to start, but low and behold, there’s no spark at all although I did nothing to the car since last time.

It’s strange, me and my father think that it’s a ground problem because we read somewhere that the coil packs need to be on a good ground as well as plugged in? And we didn’t have a good ground so I’m not sure, just give me some ideas please, I’m so desperate for this car to start, it’s been all summer and I’m two months into school and I work on it everyday after school and work and it’s so devastating. Thank you

The fuel pump is working because last night when I took the fuel rail off to get to the coil packs a bunch of fuel came out so that’s good.

I don’t believe there was a check engine light.

I believe there might be a problem with the way we plugged in the coil packs because it sounds like a misfire.

I burnt out the starter solenoid yesterday from test starting it for too long and got a brand new one from autozone because it had a warranty on it.

I’ve been trying it out and the car sounds like when trying to start, I have no idea what to do now, I explain in the video.

I pose the following questions.
Has the car ever ran in your possession?
Have you checked the following
Mechanical timing?
Firing order?
Are all injectors firing?
Visual inspection of ECU for obvious damage?
All connectors plugged in, solid and not broken?
Is battery new?
All grounds present and electrically solid? Did you actually check or just look at it?

It hasn’t run in MY possession, in fact it has been sitting for 8 or so years parked on a driveway.

Not sure how to check the mechanical timing.

I have checked the firing order and everything is in order and I am getting spark to the proper plugs from the coil pack.

The rail has fuel, the injectors have a voltage pulse to fire and I am going to check sometime this weekend if the injectors are actually firing, but I believe they are.

I haven’t quite gone to the ECU yet but I think it’s time I check it out.

All connectors are plugged in.

Battery is new and I had it hooked up to my 2016 Yukon with a battery of 850 CCA to give some extra power to the car.

All grounds are solid and not corroded or rusty, I checked all the ones I could and replace them if needed be.

You're on the right track. Why did the car sit?
On mechanical timing you compare the timing marks on the cams relative to the crank. If they're off the car won't run right or may not start at all. A compression check and/or leakdown test would also reveal problems.

The car sat because my mom wanted my dad to get a family car and said he couldn’t keep driving the eclipse because they had just had me and my brother, making it 4 children, so because we didn’t have space in the driveway my dad parked it at my grandpas house and it sat there for around 7 or 8 years and 2 with a cover, so it’s really messed up but it’s my dream car so I’m really trying. We did a compression test and got highest 150 and lowest 135. But I will try more

just because it had fuel in the rail doesn't mean the pump is working.

just because it ran when parked doesnt mean it will run

start simple, verify it has fuel, spark, and compression

you could have the spark plug order wrong for all we know. start at the simple stuff, verify the coil pack marked 4 is going to cylinder 4 and go down the line.

you can get free factory service manual online at Www.charm.li and that will help you test resistance of the coils to see if you have a bad coil.

so far you havent verified the car is getting spark or getting fuel. you need to 100% test these and not just assume
