Need help with my 2gawd fuel pump?????????????

Like what the #### do i have 2 of them There is 2 panels on each side of the floor on my 98 gsx so i took the one of on the pass side and my walbro 255 pump doesn't want a fit that good. Was i suppose to take of the panel on the drivers side i need help please and thanks!!

Also when i was taking the fuel pump out there was a plastic sort of ring around it never seen this before?? Usually screws hold them in at least in my 1g

in my awd my pump is on the passager side, the driver side is the back up sending unit (i think)

about the ring, not sure, havent gotten that far with mine yet..

Ok i looked through some articles and i did take the right one out but now my question is will the 1g walbro 255 pump work in the 2gawd?? It didnt seem to line up very good?? If only i could have twisted the untit a bit it would have lined up perfect, it kind a went in on the top slanted.

I dont think so, i beleve the tanks are totaly diffrent.
