Need help with emissions diagnose

I just failed my etest. I need to pass to renew my license plate stickers before december, being from Ontario we are required to emissions tests every 2 years. I passed the curb idle with flying colours but failed the 40km/h part. Here are my readings -

HC ppm limit 58, reading 21
CO% limit 0.32, reading 0.00
NO ppm limit 0435, reading 903

What is NO ppm mean and what is most likely the cause of this? I know it could be the EGR system but I just put a new thermo valve in today and made sure all my vacumn lines were attached. I also ran the test with just 91 octane, and warmed it up on the highway before the test. I appreciate anyone's suggestions. Thanks!

No ppm = Nitrogen oxide parts per million.
Either problem with egr or a bad cat.

High NOX usually bad EGR valve! There is a few steps to checking your EGR! Im not super familiar with the dsm egr system i usually just delete them but that is not going to help your situation. You need a vacuum pump. Apply vacuum to the top vacuum hose on the egr valve with the vehicle idling. The vehicle should start or run very ruff and then stall! If it doesn't the diaphragm in the EGR valve is bad or u have a clogged port in the intake manifold or head! If it does stall your problem is before the EGR valve! Possible broken vacuum line or bad vacuum switching valve or VSV for short!

just saying but you should run regular 87 octane when u do e-tests 91 has more chemicals.. more chemicals = higher rating good luck bud im trying to get mine past emissions too i live just outside of london ON if your near we should hook up sumtime

If your putting in 87 and not premuim..Your either the cheapest dsmer ever, or something else..

Change your oil, spark plugs, clean egr, check for vacuum leaks, and check if cat is still good.

No i run shell 91 best stuff around... Just for etest i dont.... If ## looking for a cheep way to pass emissions fill ## tank with fuel add a half litre of methanol hydrate and run it down the high way before e test. Garunteed pass. You can also try seafoam. It works wonders for your motor

I wouldn't use Seafoam for that. You're supposed to put 1/3 in your gas tank, 1/3 in your oil, and 1/3 in the crank case. Because of this, you really need to change your oil after. It's a great engine cleaner, and I've used it in my car with huge results, but unless you want really skanky oil , it needs to be changed within a few days of using Seafoam.

sorry for the confusion i didnt intend to mean to run the seafoam while in etest. i meant before just to clean it out. and yes in the etest i dont think the seafoam would go over well. my bad sorry for the miss understanding.

I pretty much smoked out my whole street when I did my car over the summer. You couldn't see a thing for about 15-20 feet in either direction.
