Help with emissions

I am trying to register my car next week. 95 tsi fwd... I have a 2.5 exhaust but I need to order a down pipe and cat to pass emissions .. Do I got to get a 2.5 downpipe and a 2.5 cat? Do they even sell them/make them? (Cat) if I order a 2.5 downpipe will a universal cat fit or does it have to be a 2.5 ? Help please .

Head to a muffler and radiator shop and explain what you need to the service guys there- your best bet on this issue.

Generally you should keep it the same diameter for better air flow. If you want this to work and still be able to remove the cat later for no restrictions, get a universal one that matches your exhaust diameter and have flanges welded to it so you can unbolt it later rather than weld it to the exhaust itself.

The one I'm looking at says 2.5" universal obd2 flow master . That sound like the one ?
