ok so i rebuilt my motor with the goodies i wanted to and its all finally in.. i also did a wire tuck. but i know for sure all the wires are connecting and wired right. i ghetto rigged the egr plate but now there is a block off plate and its tight... i was idling at 4000 rpms but now its 3500..well i didn't think i had a biss screw because the guy before me had gasket maker in it but i dug it out i screwed it up all the way and then i started it up and started to turn it down in but it sky rocketed in rpm... now i replaced the o ring and tried to put it back in and started it it wont start it just cranks and the temp gauge says its beyond the red line in temp...
Anyone got any leads on these things.. i checked all vac lines and inter-cooler pipes are good to go and so is everything else I'm at a loss.

Did you check your coolant temp sensor on the thermastat housing? Make sure the wires are in good condition and you can check it with voltemeter. Also raising the BISS screw raises your idle. Lowering the screw loweres the idle.
 
I'm probably gonna be told to do more research but I'm gonna ask any way base timing is acknowledged were and how do i adjust it? and for the vfaq i looked up and down and cant find anything on grounding the biss screw..

ok i take that back i looked more ha ha I'm dumb... I will try this and ill post up what my results are.. but i will bounce this for thoughts how about a faulty IAC but on two throttle bodies??

she runs and i got it running good but now she wants to die after reviving... and as well as the check engine light is on could that be EGR block off
