Help Diagnose Leak

Ok here goes. I'm not sure if the two are related, but some wise person will probably be able to tell.

A few weeks ago I noticed that my AC stopped working. Not sure what could be wrong, I think I may be out of refrigerant. (spelling?) Someone also told me listen for air leaks which might be the problem. That was news to me. I thought the best way to check was with dye. The other day I was underneath the hood with the car running and heard an air leak. It was behind throttle body/intake and between the firewall area (in the engine compartment right behind the center console) Sorry for not having any pics I know they might help. Any idea what this leak could be? Could the two be related or separate? Any help would be great.

The air leak is vacuum. There's not enough refrigerant in the system for you to hear it, it's gone to fast or it's too small a leak.

Time for a trip to the reefer shop. After you fix the intake leak.
