Ok so i bought my laser about 2months ago and i've been cleaning it up and what since i've bought it and fixing alot of the oil leaks it had well, i bought the car from a buddy so i know all the maintence that the car has had done to it.

Well the tranny was replaced on the car 4months ago along with the clutch and what not by a repuatable tranny shop, well about a month ago the tranny has been grinding while going in to gears mostly 2nd and 3rd and its typically at higher rpm like when i'm shifting around 5,500 rpm or above , well today i decided to change the tranny fluid and when i pulled the drain plug the fluid that came out looked like oil mixed with milk LOL.

I'm thinking it's because the motors been washed like 10 times sonce i bought it and water has got in there some how.

My question is do you guys think that this could be causing my grinding problem since i'm sure that water isn't the best lubricant for the tranny, and also do you guys thinks that any damage could have occured i look in the tranny the best i could and i didn't see any rust just the nasty milk color fluid.

depends on how much water was in there. The fluid lost alot of its viscosity if ## lucky it didnt hurt the syncros.I would suggest draining it and then kinda flushing it with cheep fluid then filling it with redline mt-90 this stuff is liquid gold in my eyes it helps trany shifting ALOT.This stuff isant the easiest thing 2 find though but if you have a local a&a auto parts they usually stock it or can atleast order it.Good luck
