I have purchased the ECMLink v3 logging cable and can't seem to get it to connect with TunerPro.

I have made sure the ports were correct on the software and correct on the laptop.
I have downloaded the stock 1g adx file from the TunerPro website, opened it in the software and try to start datascan or connect to ECU it just says DA: connecting and never connects. I'm starting to think its my diag port on my car its self.

Am I missing something here?
Thanks

I believe the ECMlink v3 cable will only connect with the ECMlink program, given that you have an ECMlink chipped ECU.

Quote taken from ECMTuning website: "You can not reprogram your factory EPROM chip with this cable. You can not use this cable with a variety of other software packages."

Huh, then I don't know. I read that the ECMLink tuning cable was basically like the "key" to accessing an ECMLink ECU. The ECU could not be used without the cable, and the cable could not be used without the ECU. (Mod- Only true of the 2G DSMLink product until V3)

Hope someone else here can help you.
