So, I unplugged my cable to make sure it was working, well, it wasn't.

I stripped the cables back a bit so you can see the wires a bit better. Other than that I can tell you a few things.

So this cable was done by the previous owner. It plugs directly into the OBD port as shown, then directly into the Palm. No BS with extra cables just one.

All I know is the blue wire (the small blue wire in the other picture) was connected to the large purple wire. The green wire had solder on it but I didn't get a chance to see where the wires went. The rest of the wires didn't appear to have solder on them or appear to have been stripped back I only stripped the red one back a bit to see if it had signs of being soldered at all.

The cable used to work. I just don't have any clue how.

Does this cable make sense to any of you? I'd really like to get it soldered back up soon and figure out what's going on with my car.

Thanks a ton!:rocks:

Here are those pics. I don't know if the first two pics help anyone, but I added them anyway. The last two pictures are the problem.

After searching I believe that cable is a 6 pin firewire cable that connects to the Palm. I hope that helps.

I hate to ask again, but I'm hoping bumping this someone who might know might see it. I'm still trying to find answers on my own, but let's face it. Because of ECMlink being such a great tool it is hard to find information on such antiquated forms of datalogging, especially ones that didn't have several tutorials for them.
