I just got a safc2 from a member on here and i just installed my whole AEM wideband gauge except the o2 sensor. I didnt do that part yet because my car sits too low for my floor jack to jack my car up to plug it into the 2nd o2 sensor location. Im gonna get the sensor in tomorrow tho. I have no cat as well.

I just browsed through the settings to see what this safc is about, i didnt change anything except car select. i did 4 cylinder and the arrow i believe was point north east. and i also put it on Karman? it seemed the idle the best on karman. i have no idea what im doing or what it should be set at, all i know is that the car is running rich blowing carbon water and possibly unburnt fuel. i got a t-25 turb, injen intake, 550 rc injectors, upgraded internals. at 11 pounds boost. i dont want a monster machine but i do want power and a little more boost without running super rich. Also when i first started the car with the safc2 installed it showed me readings like throttle and vlts and other stuff and i did something and now all i have is 3 settings to choose from and i dont know how to get those readings back up, i have no instruction manual. LOL im a total noob at this a/f ratio and safc thing. someone help pleaseeee

Ok so you got a safc and you will need get that sensor in asap try going to a muffler shop and putting it up on the lift for 30 seconds it takes to plug in the sensor. With 550cc injectors and safc you will drop about -13-19ish fuel % on low thrtle settings, and just try tune off the wide band and get as close as you can to 14.7 at idle and about 11:1 on high throttle setting on wot pulls. Also time to upgrade to a 14b or 16g and dump that T25.But anyways look up some manuals online on how to calibrate the safc and yes karman is what you want it on.Hopefully that will give you a start sence I am at work I can't go into great detail.

You just match it to what the wideband read out so let say from 800rmp to 2000rmp I took out anywhere from -13 to -19 fuel and I have about a 14.5-14.9 a/f ratio. So just got to mess with it and moniter your wideband.Different on every car.

so i hooked up my wideband and it will read at about 14.5 for a little bit and after its real warm it sits around 17. i change settings on my safc2 and and it will go back down but then after i shut the car off it loses all my settings after i initialize all my settings?? why is it losing my settings? i dont know what to do? and after i did the wideband my vacuum now sits at like 22, it used to sit at or around 15-17ish

now my car is now throwing some codes. rear o2 malfunction which i know about cause i took it out, and this one p0100 mass or volume air flow circuit malfuntion?

listen get rid of your safc because i bought a safc2 and its stupid it hacks into your ecu and tricks it thinking it has stock things as in injectors air fuel that good stuff i know your probably mad but get dsm link v3 or v3 lite its way better safer and much more options like all the stuff the safc does and way more !!! i wasted my money on my safc now i have to try to sell it to some one i never even used it.:banghead:

STM - ECMLINK | DSM LINK V3 | 90-99 DSM

STM: V3 LITE PACKAGE | ECMLINK | DSMLINK | 90-99 DSM

hope it helps dude it took me a wile to decide two but i bought my safc2 before i made that choice.

i understand what your saying man but some people cant afford dsmlink right now. haha i know link is the way to go but i know people successfully run bigger injectors and what and are happy with a wideband and safc for daily driving and honda/mustang whoop a$$ from light to light thats all im asking haha. ill get dsmlink later on.. i just need help from someone who has a similar setup to mine, thanks for the concern, when i can i will for sure get link and a bigger turbo :hellyeah:

Ok so tune for low throttle first drive through the rpm range and adjust it to give you about a 14.5-14.9 a/f ration.Set low throttle to 40% and high at 70%.Then do some wide throttle pulls have someone help you tune it to like 11:1 a/f ratio shoudl be minusing about 20% fuel on the safc on those injectors.

 so minus 20 on low throttle? thats where im confused. on low throttle it deals with air should i be adding 20 percent or subtraction 20 cause my injectors add 18 percent more fuel than stock

Is it set to karman?Just start minusing or plusing fuel till get ideal a/f ratio. So Idle and cruise should be about 14.7 and wot you should be ok with 11:1 a/f ratio. It was about -20 for my 550cc injectors but every car is different.

yes i set to karman, but every time i turn off the car and turn it back on i have to keep resetting it. how can i set it to karman and not have to keep resetting it to that and plus back to 4 cylinders.like i said when i turn off the car and turn it back it back on it doesnt save my settings. its pissing me off. like i said im new to this safc. karman is where it does idle the best. but after shut off and turned back on it is back to sluggish running.

Do have what you need to have it wired properly.

yeah i do i wired it straight from VFAQ. hey man your right down the road haha you think sometime you could help me with this or give me a in person crash course haha

ha yeah that bid is at like 158 with 3 days left that will go way up in 3 days i bet. still expensive, ill ###### buy one when i get my tax return but for now i need to run right with what i have

Well a shop can dyno it and get it all set up they will get your idle then low rpm and then med and hi rpm and it will be the price to dyno it. i have the safc2 and i cant stand it i gave up on it now i'm buying dsm link LOL

I can. Pm for number and anything else.

i sent you a pm bro.

so i got my wideband to sit around 14.9. i havent got a chance to see what it is on wot. but it should be around 11.1 wot? i did find a 1 boost leak at my left coupler on my front mount. i need a tighter t clamp. its maxed tight and still leaking. i did notice at idle it seems like it smokes a little more than usual maybe cause its a little cold out but its white smoke at idle and when i rev its black smoke, that could be because i have no cat. but dsmpat we can still link up sometime tho if you want. just waiting on your word. there are probably other things u can help me with too.
