Need help on my first log..

Hi guys. I just did my first log today.. Lots of knock on low rpm. Needs help! Don't know what to do.. New to ecmlink..

Pull some timing at those area's until no knock then gradually add it back. Is fuel too lean? What does your wideband read at those areas? Might need richening up mixture some. I can't view your log since I am at work. Just suggestions that you can explore.

Thanks for the reply. Where do i pull the timing? At the timing max octane or at the slider?

I use the timing max table, you might be surprised how much timing is in there. Wish I had one of my logs, I would post it. I am having my car tuned tho, I am a single dad with not so much time and working 6 days a week. I am sure someone will chime in and look at your log to give you much more advice, be patient. We are all here to help.

Its not "cheap" but there are several members on here that do freelance tuning. I myself am using the services of My1GDSM. Expect over 200 for remote tuning but you get what you pay for. I am currently tuning everyday after work for an hour or so, following very specific instructions from him but we are about to get to the point where the idle and cruise bugs are all smoothed out and basically all that is left is the wide open throttle tune. I am extremely happy with my tuner. Check out the "Freelancing Products and Services" under the classifieds if that is something you might be interested in. But believe me, there are alot of members here that are willing to help you out for free to get you going. My link above to ECMTunings site is a super starting point, that is if you have the tuning software and an ECU that has their chip in it.

I'd start with adjusting your Knock Sensor Control settings on the ALS/Knock tab. Set them to 2500 RPM and 25% TPS (or a bit more if you want). Any time both of these conditions aren't met, the knock sensor doesn't read, thus helping to eliminate phantom knock which you could see at low RPM's while cruising.

I don't mind paying $200 or more just to get my car tune properly. Theres only a few in our area that nows the dsm. closes is 1 1/2 drive away.

The active know was 2200 rpm and the tps was 0. I adjust the rpm to 2500 and the tps to 25% . Thanks.
