i own a 97' GST.recently bought HKS turbo timer type 0.tried installing it but have some problems.

1) couldn't find the e-brake wire.and how do u actually connect it with the HKS connector they provided?

2) after fixing half-way of turbo timer, decide to test it out..my RPM dropped till almost 0..why is it like tat?

need help :|

I don't have the HKS TT but I have the Greddy but Im guessing they are pretty much the same thing. To find the E-brake wire you have to take out the center console. Take out the ash tray, and there are 2 screws there and 2 on the back I believe. Find the wire coming from the e-brake. Hook the TT wire to that wire... I think its green then connects to a black wire... HOOK IT TO THE BLACK WIRE. You really don't need to do it. Its only so somebody doesn't steal your car. Did you use a wiring harness for your TT?

yea,but for HKS u need to do it in order for it to work.so,im still confused about the e-brake wires. i can see 2 black wires connecting to each other and there is a connector in the middle.

which one should i hook it onto?

thanks for ur reply anyways..

get a voltmeter, and when the e-brake is disengaged, test the wire going to the e-brake. If there are two, connect the Turbo timer to the wire that reads 12V when the e-brake is disengaged.... I just did this on my 2g talon. but on mine there was only 1 wire.
