sup yall. im running a hahns racecraft super 16g, rest of mods in profile. but my question is, with an upgrade pump walboro 255 as my only fuel upgrade, whats a safe level of psi to run? ive run 17 before and it sputter a little bit when nearing the rev limit but never hit fuel cut, but as of recently if i set the bc to 15 it wont hit in 1st or 2nd but thid gear il hit fuel cut and like 5500 or 6000 rpms? i have 2 different boost controllers ones the turbo xs which only can hold up to 12 psi another goes to around 28. could this possibly be because the boost controllers broke , even though its a simply device im assuming they can break? any help would be much appreciated i wanna get down to the track this friday and wanna have all the little issues figured ut and solved.
thanks for any advice or help dan:thumb:

thats what i want thinking, if up went to a walboro 190 how many psi do you think i could get on that? or would it just be smarter to get the fpr? thanks for the reply to

should i re wire even if i have a 255 and im most likely just gonna get a fpr i have an safc but im getting it installed and tuned friday. thanks for you info

I would still go ahead and rewire your 255 - this will allow your fuel pump to see a more consistent voltage than it would with the stock wiring, which is pretty skimpy. You will then gain the full potential from your fuel pump upgrade.

It doesn't really matter what fuel pump you have if you still have stock fuel injectors. The fuel injectors are what allow you to run higher boost. With stock injectors you shouldn't run more than 15psi, and even that is pushing it with a 16g. If it was 15psi on a 14b then I'd say that's fine, but 15psi on a 16g is alot more air (more like 17-18psi on a 14b) because the air is cooler and more dense. That's why I say even 15psi is pushing it on your setup.

Also you just need 1 boost controller. get rid of the one that only holds 12psi. If the other one is broke get rid of it too. I just use a simple manual boost controller. When you get your car tuned right you don't want to be messing with it anyway.

I ran my car with the Walbro255, and no Fuel Pressure Regulator. (I think I just kinda got lucky and it worked) Its not a good idea. I did have a few random fuel spikes... But My car is getting a FPR installed now.

Good luck a the track. Run at a safe level of power. If you feel misfires, or bucking get off the gas fast. A good tune with low boost, will be faster than a crappy high boost tune.
