Need help Brake lights won't turn off

Hey, I have a 95 eclipse GST, and the brake lights won't off. Even when the car is on the brake lights are still on. The only way to turn them off is by unplugging the cord by the brake pedal.

i had this problem last week...

check the brake switch near the top of your brake pedal. its a plunger sytle switch and my bet it that its sticking closed. thats what my problem was, i bought a new one at autozone and problem fixed.

something similar happend to me and I finally figure it out have you notice any blue looking pieces of plastic in your car reasently if you have chek behind your brake pedal and the plastic piece should hit a swhitch that will turn off the brake light when your not pressing the peddal mine broke and it was not pressing the swich to turn them off even when the key was out of the ignition, if that is the situation get a piece of plastic that fits on the hole and just plug it up untill it turns the brake lights off if it's anithing other than that sorry I could not be of more assistance and good luck hope this helped
