Brake Lights won't turn off

Just like the title says. I pulled the fuse and they're off now but I have no idea what the problem is. Help please. Ihave a 98 gst

Sounds like the brake light switch which is located under the steering colum and is above the brake peddle. I would check to insure it is working but you may just need to replace it.

if you unplug the brake light switch the lights should go out .

There is a rubber pad that contacts the brake switch to turn off/on the brake lights sounds to me like its gone, i take electrical tape and wrap it around the hole several times and it fixes the problem.

when it happened to me.. it was that little rubber piece.. I put a zip tie in the hole and tighten it up and it work.
