When i turn off my car, the brake lights stay on and lit, but if for some reason once the car is turned off i press the brake pedal like twice and then the lights will turn off...any solutions to the problem?

Sticky switch. You could actually be driving around all day with your brake lights on. Thats not good. You should make sure that its not the switch. Re-place it.
mike :dsm:

sorry but what switch would you be talking about?

There is a switch under the dash that is pressed open when you release the brakes. It probably just needs to be adjusted or the plastic pad that is pressed into the brake pedal arm falls out, and the switch does not got opened so your brake lights stay on all of the time.
