Well right now im running the stock 14b at 15psi but will be upgrading in time. I want a cooler that will be a good gain for the 14b but also will support a 16g then ill probably upgrade the fmic from there. Looking for lower 13's/ higher 12's in the 1/4. :)

Dejon or Ebay hands down, why pay $1000 plus for a Slow Boy Racing or a Greddy when you can have one better quality for way less.

Jeff I wouldn't say "better quality" maybe just as good, or the possibility of being just as good, but for a 1/4 of the price. I personally would go with an SBR street FMIC on for 729$ with a SBR J-Pipe for $80, and know that you are getting a good product. Also a Supra SMIC would be sufficient to cool down most of the boost you could push with that 16g, but it has its limits just like anything else, but they are cheap, and can cool 20+psi nicely.

Honestly, im not a big fan of SBR, but you can get a dejon kit for around $600 including j pipe. I'd go with Dejon over SBR anyday.

EBAY! I got mine...

XS POWER XXL FMIC polished, with polished short route piping which included an already welded 1g BOV flange!

There is a very long thread about this floating around the NEWBIE section. The intercooler has been tested to handle around 600hp safely!

Got mine for $320 shipped! Half of the name brands...There are pics of these things installed as well as FAQ's on how to install them. BUY IT and THEN Put it towards other mods.

Ebay is the best bang for you buck. I know sometimes buying parts of ebay is like russian rulette. But many members have tried them, so no need to be scared. I plan on buying the same exact kit as the one linked to up top.

i vote xspower fmic kit off ebay! i got one for my 2g so cant speak for the 1g kit but nice kit all around

Search the "How to" section, there is a link on there for a 1g!

I am not posting direct links to the forum, in order for you to leanr how to navigate and search for things before you ask. Our cars have been around awhile and most things have been covered quite throroughly. I am not bashing you, I go through the same things you do.

i got the whole kit off ebay for $290 shipped and the only thing i had to buy were some 2.5"-3" couplers. Works great on my 16g and ive boosted up to 29psi and it spools fast too.

Supra SMICs are around $200. you can get an Intercooler and DIY piping on E-bay for that.

I have ran a Supra SMIC on the 14b and Evo3 and IT was MUCH more trouble than it was worth. It would heatsoak and i would get lots of engine knock at 20 PSI.

I Recommend to anyone, unless you get it for free, dont waste your time with the SUPRA SMIC.

E-bay intercoolers will be your best best, i have had 5 of them from differnt vendors and they have all worked exellent,

I would have to say one of the best intercoolers Ive owned was JRC, johnny race car i think he stopped making them now but, they are great for a street car, because they are tube and fin and flow well to the radiator so you dont have to spend more for better cooling.

Good Luck:rocks:
