Hey guys, I want to go ahead and replace my stock fuel filter with a Fuel Lab one and am probably going to be ordering one of STM's kits. I currently have the stock fuel lines with a -6 from stock filter to rail. If I get the Fuel Lab feed kit in a -8 form, is there any downside to that and running stock lines before the filter? Just want to get something future proof. I appreciate any feedback.

I'm running Extreme PSI's kit that goes from the factory hard line, runs a -6 AN fuel filter and -6 lines up to the rail and it works great. Granted I'm not using as much fuel as you are, but the factory hard line seems to flow quite good. There are people over the 500hp mark still running stock fuel filter.

In short, the hard line will flow enough till you need two fuel pumps and need to upgrade the whole way from the tank to rail with -8 AN sized lines.

^ What he said. The stock hard lines have been proven to handle quite a bit of power before becoming a restriction. But before you go and buy parts, what are your power goals? Many people do 6an tank to rail and push high numbers. But to answer your question, no it won't hurt anything to go from 8an tank to fuel filter, than 6an from filter to rail, however there is a point in time when that 6an will become a restriction, but were not talking until high high numbers though.
