Need f4a23 trans for 98 spyder 2.4

Ok new to the forum and to the Mitsubishi car line. Got a good deal on a 2.4 non turbo spyder with a bad transmission (clutches bushings everything is toasted) so i started looking for a trans but every one I have found has transmission mounted on drivers side while mine is mounted on passenger side. Again this a 98 eclipes spyder fwd 2.4 non turbo with the f4a23 auto trans. Will the drivers side mounted trans work in place of my passenger side mounted trans?? Or do I have to find one from a spyder.
Ok thru a lot of research I have found that the swaped sides is Chrysler engine or mitsubishi engine and I have to use a Mitsubishi trans now I see the f4a33 out of 4g63t and 4g64 will fit now my new question is will a 4g63 non turbo fit what about the 1.8 engines will the trans fit from those if so what cars I have found a couple of 1g lasers one with auto 1 with a manual can I do any thing with these cars or keep looking

a 1g trans not fit in the 2g cars the mounts are different. call up miller import parts they might have a trans used.
