Alright so here's the deal my Plymouth laser rs turbo had the the balls chopped off it (no turbo anymore) and the engine was switched to a eclipse engine 4g63 but it still has the following parts on the car.... It's an auto btw ... It has the 390 cc injectors I have the turbo and nt ecu I have the injector resistance pack I have the Bcs the car has the turbo maf(7wires for the crappy stock boost gauge) the injectors are 3 ohm 390cc auto low impedance I think it's called It's got the nock sensor plug and another Random plug for a solenoid or something so here the question how the hell is my car running with the nt ecu even no it still has 390cc injectors (im buying a smic intercooler a rebuilt turbo ,exhaust mani ,bov oil lines ect for 100bucks) cause I want to turbo this beast again but I'm wondering how my cars running with the nt ecu and srry for any mistakes my iPhones screens cracked to shit haha thanks in advance
 
Like In Theory my car shouldn't start but it starts fine I'm almost done the basicmaintenance just gotta do the timeing belt before I add all the turbo crap as we'll as check compression to see if I should get new pistons
 
For starters: NT motors (since you didn't mention if the motor was still the stock turbo motor or an NT motor, thus I'll go with the NT motor - if not, then please disregard this comment) has weaker ring lands than the turbo ones. NT has a compression of 9.0:1 against the turbo's 7.8:1, thus some serious engine management needed so you don't blow the NT motor to bits even with 390cc and that B16G turbo.
 
I've got a tod5h or some shit like what should I do to my engine to prep it for the turbo charger? Like the oil Rings or something and timeing belt and fresh gaskets and possible new lifters?
 
If you keep the boot at stock levels, your NT motor can handle it fine, and may actually feel peppier as you get a low-end bump with the higher compression. If you plan to go over stock levels, then you need turbo pistons. YOu can drive the NA motor boosted while you build a turbo motor without issue. I drove a NA motor boosted for 18 months without issue @ 15lbs running 93 octane
 
thanks man because yeah i want to bring this car back i have the fm433 tranny or whatever its called but would it be possible to just use the nt block but just rebuild like the head?
 
your head will be fine, it is the same as a turbo head. You could look for turbo cams (one of them is different than the NA, I think exhaust, not sure). If you want to increase the performance (bigger injectors, turbo, boost level) than it would be a good idea to go with turbo pistons. your NA pistons have the ring lands closer to the top of the piston and the piston crowns are weaker, making them more susceptible to knock than turbo pistons. So, keeping the car running with the highest possible octane (93) is very important
 
Ahh okay names sence so I should go with the turbo positions then oh and btw the best gas is a block away from my house 94octane haha I'll deft use that think right now it's 1.48/L for 94

Hey hows it going? I dont see a MAF in the pic, but I MAY have missed it.

Anyways, you can safely bolt on the OEM turbo, exhaust manifold, BOV, SMIC and Id highly suggest a turbo FPR and injectors. With a 390cc and a stock 14b turbo, youd be able to run 8psi wastegate pressure.

To run real boost, you would need 2g pistons (8.5 CR) fitted to your 1g rods, an Apexi SAFC to control fuel, and Id also suggest water injection to fend off knock and cool the pistons since the N/T block doesnt have oil squirters. Also increases density of intake charge.

8psi on a NT stock motor with 390s and a 14b would give the Laser a very nice bump of power - not earth shattering, tire busting power, but something that can be felt.

And with being FWD, you then will understand what torque steer is..and there is a post in here where equal length axles can be fitted on FWD vehicle that have stock unequal length axles...to lessen torque steer.

Should do this with my Laser being a turbo one.

Sure will haha my cars acually running with 390cc injectors and the resister pack on a nt ecu the thing I'm not sure of is if my car still has the turbo pressure regulator and turbo fuel pump because my car still has a lot of turbo parts on it like the tranny,maf,Bcs and all the connectors needed for the nock sensor ect.. I just gotta save some more cash to get new pistons and oil pan and timeing belt and fluids then I can turbo it also I need the thermo housein for the turbos coolent and a place to drain it back to the system oils all figured out
 
I painted and cleaned up some parts hopefully when I start workin full time I'll getter done it's just the wastegate ,turbo ,o2 housein and another part of the exhaust manifold painted red with 2000F /700C ceramic paint will see how long it lasts LOL I did a good rust removal looked like new
