Need camshaft id guru help!!!!!!!!!

so my buddy bought this refurbished head off a guy for a 1g. puts it on the car we do the timing belt properly, dowels up all marks are perfect starts the car bad noises no compression. take the head back off only to realize the intake and exhaust are opening at the same time causing the valves to hit each other(Never saw this before) we start inspecting and the exhaust cam doesnt look right!!!! so i need help finding out what it is or out of. AND YES THE TIMING WAS DEAD ON!

R4 08 is all thats on the intake cam? it sounds to me like you have 2 intake cams or two exhaust cams. got any pics?

no i don't unfortunately. But i can tell you that one has a slit in it for the cas and the other one doesn't so it cant be 2 intake cams, unless one is out of a odd year 2g? couldn't be 2 exhaust cams either because of the slit? I can tell you that the exhaust cam looks like the actual shaft is thicker and made from a cast while the intake cam still looks cast but more refined

Turns out that when we compared the. Odd cam to a stocker its exactly the same except the lobe are 90 degrees off idk what this cam is out of

Sounds like it may be an evo cam.

was thinking it may have been out of a 420a does anyone know if this cam would even fit?

the intake camshaft has the first set of lobes is just to the left of the timing pin, the exh is slightly to the right.

using the clock face as reference the intake cam is 1st set closest to the timing belt side is 1200 the second set of lobes are toward the 3 o clock location, the 3rd set are toward the 9 o clock location, and the last set are toward 6 o clock

the Exh cam is same location of lobes
