need (advice) would this fit 60mm throtle body

im looking to make a next upgrade for my car and was hereing alot of good things about an upgraded 60mm throtle body i was told theres a nice improvment in throtle resonse and accelaration and better ET on the track...is this true and what would you recomend 60mm or a diffrent size ...? and if i get a 60mm were can i buy one that will fit or bolt right on.. thanks guys ill appreciate the help

To get the total benefits you will need to bore out the tb opening on the intake manifold.

Any reputable shop won't do that. Do you really want a handful of aluminum chips going through your engine because you tried to save an hour or less of time?

Well my first bet is you have a 2G or 7bolt Head.. I was convinced also the 60mm was the way to go. Lo and Behold the EVO 3 Throttle Body is 60 mm and the Intake Manifold is also 60 MM inlet and is a Direct bold on for 2g Head and aka 7bolt head. Do not get fooled by the RVR (JDM) setup which is stock 52mm.. I found the upgrade to be quite beneficial in all areas.. Including low end torque and high end power plus it seemed that my turbo spooled to full boost about 300 RPMs Sooner. So just IMO i would keep searching for this setups as it is a Direct Bolt on and a significant upgrade. Good luck to you.

Not to bust your bubble or anything, but this is the 420A section.

Hence the question regarding a 420A throttle body.

Well before I became the proud owner of my 95 eclipse, I had a Jeep cherokee with the famous straight inline 6. I have read much into the boring of the throttle body when I did own my cherokee, which I traded for my Eclipse. There is a website called, Leigh Performance Machine
which sells bored throttle bodies, any size, within reason, that you want. Heres the questions, could I buy one of these bored out throttle bodies and fit it to my 420a? After reading it seems like there is more work than just bolting the new TB up. The bored TB he sells are are straight through, I had my eye on the 63mm. Would it be as easy as buying it and bolting it up?
Just an after thought, you can get one of these bored throttle bodies for $90 bucks, but theres a $70 core charge meaning if you send him back the same year (and type) of throttle body, he will refund $70. Kinda more tricky when you dont have the orginal throttle body off the jeep, but I thought this could work for our application....
