Or, you could try again, by clicking on the OBDII link? ya thats right, your car is OBD 2, and thats the one that you need. I was one of the very first people to purchase a pocketloger, over a year ago and it was the best money I ever spent on my car. Or don't buy one, and blow up your car, choice is yours.
 
hey guy's, yeah i've used zex before. it blew my first engine, blew the damn head gasket. 55 shot, no problem, 65, not bad. 75 shot, that blew me away until top of third gear... mmmmmmmrrrrrrrrrrr-vooooommmmmmmmhhh... scary sound, and even more scary on my wallet.

hands down it was easy to install, if you really want power, upgrade to better pistons/rings and metal head gasket, iridium spark plugs, bottle warmer, and purge valve from zex, and you'll be flying... then you wouldnt have to worry so much about hurting your engine.

and i even returned my zex kit LOL. it was fun till' it lasted. i would buy it again if i could, but i'd get a better head gasket if i'd run it again. but that's just me. i was happy with zex, and i was beating a new v-6 altima with zex by a fender! i was way happy, dont those things do like high 14's or some #@%#@%#@%#@%?? allright then, peace

I sprayed a 75 shot and 21psi of boost on my ZEX many times up to 130mph. I've gone through 10 bottle refills. I pass the 1/4 mile mark at over 120mph. I do that with stock engine block with 60k miles that's never been opened, on the stock head gasket and internals. Except I do it with fuel tunning (afc, bigger injectors) and race gas. I can safely spray 55 shot on pump gas with no problems. I do however notice that the kit made my car run in the dangerous side EGTs. Car likes to run rileaner then normal on nitrous too. Usually about .95v to .96v. Cams have dramaticly droped my EGTs on nitrous, wich allowed me to lower that number down to .94v. I woiuld never spray a 75 shot on pump gas on my car. Knock is what blows you head gasket and internals in a hurry. If done and tuned right it shouldn't blow up. Even on a N/A vehicle I woiuldn't trust any nitrous kit with out being able to monitor the engine. I woiuld highly recommend a O2 voltage meter and a EGT if the car has a knock sensor.

not sure if you looked at the dates of the original post, but I figured it out a long time ago. I have since sold the kit and moved onto a new engine.
 
Did you blow your engine with the zex kit?
 
Well, I gues the nitrous was the deciding factor in the engine breaking. Actually, the car crank walked. So the added pressure the nitrous put on an already weak thrust bearing wasn't a good decision to start with, but I think my car is a freak and would have CWed sooner or later. The Zex kt worked like a charm and I will use nitrous again, but I will be going to a 50 horse wet shot next. Something to get the FP Red spooling up a little faster and get some sub 1.7 60' times in an auto tranny car with no high stall. I'll also be using a 2.4 motor too. Can you say "tourque"?

YEs that would be a torque moster.. Nitrous is awsome for spooling a turbo from a mild 2500rpm brake torque. Sorry wrong acount.. It's me Nano.
 
Nano - you getting your name confused again. Actually, the 2.4 block is gonna be stroked to a 2.6 for even more axel breaking tourque. I'll prolly have to put viscous couplings on my axels to keep them from snapping. Hopefully the auto tranny will be a little kinder on the rest of the drivetrain.
