zex on a 420a

i was just wondering how safe it would be to have a zex nitrous setup on a stock 420a engine? they say that zex is the safest of all nitrous setups so i thought id see if anyone knew if that was true for a 97 rs? sorry if this is a kind of stupid question or has been asked before but i need to know. thanks for any help.:dsm:
 
I have the Zex kit for my car and we run the 55 shot and it seems to run just fine. We modded it to run off a push button instead of the switch.(ok before I start a war...I know it goes on w.o.t but we made it arm when i push a button not the switch. I like it better.)
I didnt know there was a 45 shot kit.....hmmm mines 55 65 75.

can u help me out.......... where is the nmu on the non t eclipses.. i have a 99 i cant find the regulator.. i cant see it on the rail.. where was yours??
 
what are you talking about nmu regulator? The only regulators the nmu hooks up to are the Fuel Preasure regulator on the throttle body, and then the throttle position sensor. What are you talkin about? hooking up the nmu(Nitrous managment system) shouldn't take you but 5 mins if you know what your doing.
 
I have a wet kit, but it looks to be the same thing as the dry kit. The only difference is there is a fuel line and a nos line going into the Air Intake. And to make sure, Is there a fuel pressure regulator on a 95 n/t ? and if not do we just leave it off? Will that effect the nmu any?
 
I have the 96 420A motor in my eclipes so i should run a wet set up then right??? just so i am clear on my nitrous set up before i buy . I will be running 10.5-1 pistons and cams, header, intake, exhaust etc.. so i was thinking about a simple 50 shot, but then if i wanted to go higher than that i would say no more than 75, i should be just fine with my motor set up for this type of Nitrous set up right>
 
wet or dry, they both will work fine. I have a dry and its really easy to install, check my gallery to see where I mounted. Wet doesn't require you to put hook up a hose to your fuel preasure regulator but its alot harder to install into your fuel line. So I would think it to be worth going to a junk yard and getting one. Because I wasn't a fan of wanting to splice my fuel line, thats when shit blows up. And to be more than safe only go 55 shots. 20 more shots isn't worth your engine.
