^^this. Almost in any case when its just your word against a cop they will win. I mean unless you have witness or can find holes or errors in the cop story you are screwed.

(at the bold point) you seem sort of smart so this wasnt a rag on you but on people that do the same stuff that you did. It was a speed contest to a degree. I do doubt it was an all our pinks race, but he did engage you and you paced him. you may not have out paced him, but you did participate in a contest. that contest having to do with speed therefore a speed contest which is commonly used in the court room interchangeably with street racing. (I know its an unfair exaggeration, but likely) bottom line it was a speed contest, just not the type you are used to which is why you justified it.
