So my spark plug is ugly.

Here are some pictures. The problem was: When I first started the car it would only run on three cylinders for a bit(the wire was sparking when we pulled it, but when we put it back down it didn't ignite the cylinder.

So, we pulled the plug and this is what it looks like. Oh spark plug gurus, share your infinite knowledge.

FIRST OF ALL NO PLATINUM PLUGS STAY AWAY :notgood: THEN JUST GO TO THE STORE AND BUY SOME NEW NGK PLUGS THEY ARE CHEAP AND MABY A SET OF GOOD WIRES. THAT WILL START THE BIG PROCESS.

Agreed, Never use those Platinum plugs in the DSM. NGK stock temp or one step colder depending on mods. They will fire, and last quite long enough.

What's wrong with platinum plugs? My cousin just put plats in his 94 DSM.

I currently have one of those NGKs, 3 plats.

Should I replace the 3 plats immediately?

Never mix plugs. Never stray from NGK BPR6ES. Platinums are okay on a non-turbo, but as you see, they're not good.
Platinums in turbocharged engines seem to die, most likely from the heat. Early versions seem to have been keen on puking their side electrodes, but I've not heard of that symptom in quite a while.
