I'm working on a 91 Galant VR-4

A previous owner hacked up all sorts of wires on the car and I am making an attempt to re-route, fix all of them.

These wires are located within the same harness that goes to the MAF (1G), The wires that run to the MAF sensor are correct and unmodified.

These wires appear to have been cut off from something, taped over an not reattached.

The car previously had cruise control, which has been removed (possible location for where these wires should go.

In this picture the harness has been detached from the frame mounts and brought up over the shock tower so that they can be scene clearly.

Then, closer to the firewall, at the base of the SAME harness there are two wires cut-off and taped off. This picture shows those wires.

Thanks for your help, If this is the wrong section, MODs please move it.

The two connected to the maf harness look like they could most likely be the factory boost solenoid wires. Can we get another GVR4 guy to confirm? Im not 100% sure if theres a color diff between 1g and GVR4 on the harness, but in the 1g's those wires run into that part of the harness.

The others on the firewall im not certain on, probably just eliminating un necessary things like we all love to do! haha

If the car was in front of me it would be easier to try and chase where they once ran to what component may have been there before.

That is a good thought, the boost control solenoid is MIA...it would make sense to have it in this same harness.

But that only takes care of a pair of these wires..

Just dawned on me, the ones near the firewall may be what were the plug that you use to ground out the ECU when setting timing with a timing light. Is that on the pass side of the car?

Yes this harness is on the passenger side.

Are you referring to the two short black ones?
