Ive been around DSM's for more then a few years now. I was just wondering if anyone has built or heard of anyone building an AWD NA 1g/2g? Ive talked to JE and got some really nice compression numbers for a 6bolt 2.3L motor. does anyone have any insight or info they can throw my way?

I haven't heard of anybody doing that, mainly because its just not worth the it. to make a 2g N/A awd would be hard because the they have the engine/transmission on the other side compared to the turbo eclipses. maybe be on a gs since it has a SOHC engine that faces the same way as the turbo eclipses

no im talking about making a turbo awd turbo project car into a awd na car. this is all with an awd shell. i have a chance to buy my old 1g awd back and the guy who bought it messed the motor up bad. i wanna make a high compression awd daily out of it that i can take to the track and have a little fun with every now and then.

I remember reading a topic about a turbo guy blowing his motor and wanting to swap in an n/a 4g, but that just ended with a lot of bashing. I doubt you'll find much of an answer.

I've thought about that before, but never shared it due to so many ppl on here being so closed minded. A N/T AWD would be an awesome dirt slinger. It would be a bad-ass weekend rallyX car!

Yes, there's better options for N/T AWDs (see 'Subaru'), but that would be a fun project none-the-less.

well ive talked to JE and i can get some 12.5:1/13:1 pistons on a 2.3L setup. I have even thought about an ITB setup with this package.
