NA clutch in a turbo transmission

My question is will a 92 eclipse NA 4g63 stage 3 clutch fit and work properly in a 93 turbo transmission ?

I have 2 identical eclipses a 93 turbo and a 92 NA 4g63. The NA is being parted and I want to try and use the brand new stage 3 clutch that is in it. I have a stage 2 in my turbo and It has quite alot of miles on it. If it will work, why not? are there any differences?

yes they are very differen't it will not work. The turbo flywheel has a .610" step, and a n/t is flat.

He said nothing about changing flywheels. The flywheels are in fact different but the clutches are interchangeable. You can use your "Stage x" clutch from your n/t in your turbo.

yea, cool, what's he talking about with the flywheel? I'm not changing out anything but the clutch. Will the flywheel matter?

Just keep the turbo flywheel in the car and you should be fine.

Ok...didn't mean to offend you in any way. I've been through my fair share of n/t 5 speeds my self, and neglected the fact that they ARE different. Sorry to misinform the op. Looking back on it now, when I did the swap on my n/t to turbo transmission I had used a turbo clutch. But when utilizing the n/t trans you will have to buy a n/t specific clutch, such as a Centerforce or equivalent. When switching to a turbo trans in your n/t you will need the starter plate, flywheel, turbo specific clutch, and the transmission mount.
