Ok one day I'm driving and leaving my house, when I get onto the freeway and hit 55 mph my car starts to shake and the whole car vibrates. I push on the gas more, more vibration. But from start to 50 mph my car runs fine and boosts great. I notice that this only happens after it rains. It's only happened twice, both times were after it rained. The second time it happened was this morning, then this afternoon there was no rain and I had get some stuff at the store I drove the car. Now the car drive strong like it used to. I'm lost what this problem is. Now for me its hard to believe that its due to having water in the engine because if that were the case then the car would vibrate hard at what ever mph your at, right? Any ideas?

Go get your car aligned. It might be out of alignment, which left unchanged could get yourself killed. I would get that checked out immediately. If its not that, i would have no idea what else it could be. Does the car shake, or just the steering wheel, or both? If the car shakes, you could be hydroplaning. ROFL Which means no more boost in the rain. :nono:

Some more information would be helpful... Does this vibration feel like its coming from the motor? It sounds to me like it may be a misfire from a plug wire when it gets wet. Now if its just speed related then its most likely a bad tire/balance issue.

You could try and spray water over the plug wires when the car is at a idle and see if that affects it.

How is your power output when this vibration happens? The only thing I could think of is, your mass airflow sensor got wet. But, I don't see how that could happen when it just rains.

Check your alignment like said above.

Update. Like I said earlier i drove it this afternoon and it drove perfectly fine. Now I just drove it tonight and the same thing happened. So its on and off. It only happens around 50 mph and up. 0 to 50 mph is no problems at all. I have no idea what it is. When I let go of the sterring wheel the car goes straight for a long time too. So I don't know if its the alignment. Now the whole idea of water in the engine is out too because it ran fine this afternoon and back to bad tonight. I really don't want to bring it to a shop to find out that its a very minor problem for 85 bucks. Any ideas?
